About the Staff We are professionally trained in coaching, personal development and communication. Some of us are further trained in business, investments, real estate and entrepreneurial endeavors. Some of us are visually impaired, some of us are not. We all participated in special and vigorous preparation that our Founder and President, John C. Battistoni, MSC, has created. We are one of very few companies that is led by an individual who is profoundly visually impaired.
About our Founder Despite his visual challenge, JOHN C. BATTISTONI is an entrepreneur, investor, personal coach, consultant, spiritual advisor and motivational mentor. He also just happens to be legally blind. "I strongly believe in three basic Lessons of Life: 1. What we think and see in response to an action is more important than what happens to us. 2. Anyone can overcome great adversity, but only if they believe they can, and 3. Enjoy and appreciate what you have before it is no longer there,” said John Battistoni.
At the age of 28, John was told by professionals that he should retire from life and not expect too much out of his existence. John was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a slow degenerative eye disorder that eventually causes blindness. As his vision diminished, he found the courage and strength to cope with the anger, frustration and disappointments that accompany severe vision loss. While experiencing sight deterioration, a potentially devastating circumstance, John experienced all facets of frustrating vision loss; from not being able to drive, not being able to read, using the white cane, not recognizing faces, to dealing with family issues. Nevertheless, during his ongoing vision loss and while working full time for a government agency, he received his BA in psychology and MA in speech and communications from California State University, San Francisco. He has been training individuals and groups in speechmaking, job interviews, stress management, personal development, wealth enhancement and ballroom dancing for several years. Now he has four lovely daughters and a growing crop of grandchildren, has accumulated wealth, traveled extensively, and has his own business. He recalls with a smile what myopic thinking professionals suggested over 30 years ago. This extraordinary individual took the lessons of life as tools to develop, sculpt and hone the principles of Optimism and Determination. He challenges overwhelming odds and continually rallies. From his unique experiences, he has gained special gifts. He shares a special way of seeing life with thousands of people who embrace him with enthusiasm as they are brought to a new level of understanding. "Coping with vision loss has been my greatest challenge. Now, I challenge others to be blind to mental myopia, to use Vast VisionsTM to enhance their personal growth for fun and profit." With his investments and entrepreneurial endeavors, John now rarely makes presentations as his time is limited. However, for special occasions and if you don’t mind being on a waiting list, he would be honored to speak at your function. Please contact us for further details.
