About Our FounderJOHN C. BATTISTONI is an entrepreneur, investor, personal coach, consultant, spiritual advisor and a motivational mentor. He, also, just happens to be legally blind.
"I strongly believe in three basic Lessons of Life:
belief in oneself, appreciation, chosen responses, forgiveness, and
enjoy life. 1. Belief; anyone can overcome great adversity, but only if the individual believes in the outcome. 2. Appreciation; enjoy what you have before it is no longer there. 3. Responses; what happens to us is not as important as what we think in response to that action. We can choose another perspective on how to look at situations and circumstances that can empower us instead of weakening us. 4. Forgiveness; we must forgive ourselves and others without blame. 5. Enjoy; there is no path to happiness, happiness itself is the way. -John Battistoni John was devastated when he was told by
professionals that he will become blind and that he should retire
from life at the age of 28 and not to expect too much out of his
existence.
John was diagnosed as having Retinitis Pigmentosa, a slow
degenerative eye disorder that eventually causes blindness. As his
vision slowly diminished, he found courage and strength to cope with
the anger, frustration and disappointments that accompany severe
vision loss. During his ongoing vision loss and while working full
time for a government agency, he was determined to continue his
education and received his BA in Psychology and a
MA in Speech and Communications from California State University at
San Francisco. He has been training individuals and groups in
speechmaking, job interviews, stress management, personal
development, wealth enhancement and ballroom dancing for several
years.
"Coping with vision loss has been my greatest challenge. Now, I
challenge others to be blind to mental myopia, (a limiting
near-sighted and poorly developed belief system) and to focus on
possibilities in all areas of life." says John Battistoni. For special occasions and if you don’t mind being on a waiting list, he would be honored to speak at your function.
